The release event of the TRUMP Wallet has turned into a "Rashomon" situation, with both sides sticking to their claims, making it hard to discern the truth.
Gate News bot message, Ripple CTO David Schwartz expressed concern over the contradictory statements surrounding the TRUMP Wallet. Schwartz said, "This is a very strange situation," while disclosing some key connections with members of the Trump family.
Schwartz pointed out that platforms such as Magic Eden and TrumpMeme released a joint statement regarding the project. However, Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., and his second son, Eric Trump, have publicly denied that the Trump Organization is involved in the project.
Schwartz further emphasized that TrumpMeme is owned by FightFight LLC, which collaborated with CIC Digital LLC, a subsidiary of the Trump Group, to launch the official TRUMP coin.
He commented, "Both of these accounts have been hacked to publish false announcements? That's unlikely. What exactly is going on?!"
As soon as the news broke yesterday, Donald Trump Jr. immediately clarified on social media that he and the Trump Organization had nothing to do with a recently released Wallet product. "The Trump Organization has no connection to this Wallet product, and Eric Trump and I are unaware of it."
Eric Trump also issued a similar message, warning the Magic Eden platform not to make such statements. The New York Times reported that Eric Trump announced his intention to take legal action against projects that use the Trump name without authorization.
