TG Bot leads the smart interaction of Web3, with intent-based trading becoming a new trend.
Behind the TG Bot Explosion: The Intention to Trade is Opening the Door to Intelligent Web3 Interactions
Summary
(1) Understanding Intent: Top-down Anoma and Bottom-up TG Bot
( Deep Intent: AI is the new UI - Complex Commands vs Simple Intent
)3( Navigation Intent: Evolution of Intent Concepts, Interaction Paradigms, Current Status and Trends
) Guidance Intent: Challenges and Prospects of Intelligent Interaction in Web3
In June, Paradigm published an article titled "Intent-Based Architectures and Their Risks," which brought the concept of Intent( to the public for the first time. The development of intent-related protocols and infrastructure is rapidly advancing, and it became a hot topic in the crypto community at the ETHCC conference in July.
Intent is not a new concept. As Mindao, the founder of DForce, said, the crypto space has been relentlessly abstracting and automating operations, from aggregators, centralized exchanges, and contract wallets to cross-chain DeFi, and this work is also being done by Chainlink and the recent automated middleware and Telegram bots.
Intent to bring new changes. In the past, product interaction was the core focus, while in the AGI era, human-computer interaction is at the core, and AI/LLM contains more potential for enhanced encrypted interaction.

01, Top-Down Anoma and Bottom-Up Unibot
In the past six months, agreements, projects, and infrastructure related to intentions have been booming one after another. Here, I do not intend to explain the concepts in a rote manner, but rather to provide a glimpse through two examples.
Among the projects related to intent, the most prominent is the Anoma Foundation, which completed its third round of financing of $25 million at the end of May 2023. In the context of severe homogeneity in Layer 1, the Anoma Foundation, with intent-centric), constructs the intent-centric( architecture Anoma) Dapp full-stack architecture( and Namada) privacy Layer1( has received a total of $57.8 million in support from investors over three rounds, ranking seventh in financing amount for Layer 1/Layer 2 that has not yet issued tokens.
Recalling Anoma's public speech at EthCC, founder Adrian Brink stated that the magic of Anoma lies in: all interactions begin with intent, and users express intent through the Black-box Architecture ) Anoma black box architecture, also known as Magic Happens ( processing. The magic box implements the core transaction process based on intent interaction:
Behind the brand new interactive form, the Anoma team has insight into the underlying pain points of blockchain protocols and reviews the limitations of the architecture from the first generation of Bitcoin's scriptable settlement to the second generation of Ethereum's programmable settlement, which has led to the current application protocols having at least one Web2 component, making it impossible to achieve counterparty discovery and resolution. They state that the intent-centric Anoma architecture is the third generation Dapp architecture in the evolution of blockchain protocols, allowing users to define the desired outcome state, achieving efficient and customizable privacy transactions at the intent level, and the intent-centric Dapp architecture will usher in a new era.
Anoma, with high financing and a new technological architecture, is currently built by a team of 37 interdisciplinary members from Heliax. Although the Heliax development team has made slow progress over the past two years, a complete innovation ecosystem has been formed.
Although many institutions such as CMCC Global, Electric Capital, and Delphi Digital are enthusiastically promoting Anoma and expressing that the future potential of intent-centric architecture is limitless, currently, the top-down Anoma has only laid a good technical foundation, and we have yet to see exciting practical applications; on the other hand, the TG Bot has opened up the imagination for practical applications in the intent segmentation scene using on-chain automated trading tools.
Unibot is a Telegram-based trading bot (TG Bot) that allows users to automate DEX trading through Telegram, offering features such as sniper buying, copy trading, DEX limit orders, privacy, and anti-MEV. Unibot replaces the cumbersome interactions of Uniswap based on Intent, providing a convenient DeFi interaction experience. Unibot has also spawned a number of TG Bot clones, with the current total market value of the TG Bot sector nearing $200 million.
Top-down Anoma is innovation, while bottom-up TG Bot is revolution; top-down Anoma starts from an intent-based underlying architecture, but the team's progress is slow; although TG Bot provides users with a new on-chain interaction interface, it is not intelligent and poses many security risks.
The two paths that lead to the same goal --- simplifying user interaction experience and introducing a new programmable and customizable user interaction interface --- User Intent Layer (, allows users to bypass complex on-chain interactions and define transaction status based on user intent.

02, AI is the new UI: Command Interaction vs Intent Interaction
The above two use cases give us a basic understanding of intent. Next, let's explore the changes behind intent—how AI is fundamentally changing the user interaction interface in the crypto world.
The AI paradigm is introducing the third user interface paradigm in the history of computing, shifting to a new interaction mechanism where users tell the computer what they want rather than how to do it.
Every revolution in interaction modes throughout history has led to entirely new business models. LLM-based generative AI brings disruptive changes to human-computer interaction, directly transforming the original human-computer interactions with various software UIs into interactions with the Chatgpt chat window, which offers an unprecedented interactive experience. LLM+crypto introduces a new proposition for the crypto world based on intention-driven interactions, and LLM has the potential to make blockchain interactions smarter by discovering and describing user intentions.

03. The Evolution of the Concept of Intent, Interaction Paradigms, Current Status, and Trends
After deeply understanding the trend of AI intelligence behind intent, we further explore the evolution of the concept of intent. Intent is not a new concept; it has existed since the Web2 era. With the rise of search engines like Google, users can input their intent, and the search engine provides relevant results to satisfy that intent.
With the rise of e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and eBay, there has been a significant shift in intent-based architecture, allowing users to express their intent to purchase products while the platform takes care of logistics. In early 2017, Gartner released a report titled "Innovation Insight: Intent-Based Networking Systems" which formally introduced the concept of Intent-based Networking). The key aspect is to present users with an interface where they only need to express what they want, and the platform will handle the business details.
Intent-based networking is the trend towards automation and intelligence in networks during the Web2 era. Andrew Lerner, Vice President of Research at Gartner, pointed out in 2017 that intent-based networking will be the next milestone in the field of networking.
The evolution from Web2 to Web3 has led to a lack of clarity regarding the concept of intent in Web3, but there are some common understandings:
In real use cases of Web3-based intent transactions, users create intents off-chain and outsource them to the Solver( parser), encapsulating the complexity of blockchain interactions to the parser while retaining full control over the process on-chain, thus lowering the threshold for on-chain interactions.
The intent also brings the LLM architectural concept---intent centric---an architecture centered around user intent. Currently, the crypto protocols and infrastructure related to intent centric are embedded in the interaction layer between users and Crypto, leveraging LLM to provide a better on-chain interaction experience.
LLM+Crypto brings a new paradigm of human-machine interaction, allowing direct conversion of user intent into smart contract calls. Users only need to express their intent like using Apple's Siri, while robots/AI agents/third-party parsers help complete complex on-chain operations. In the future, intent-based Web3 interaction will be intelligent, with the potential to significantly reduce the complexity of user on-chain interactions.
AI is the new UI, and more and more Web3 projects are exploring the magic of intent. Whether it's intent-based Dapps or intent-based underlying architectures, they release the potential of intent from different angles. We attempt to organize this rapidly developing field and categorize it into four major categories from an interaction perspective, tracking the latest status and trends:
Infrastructure: ( intent-driven intent architecture layer )
Supporting facilities: ( related to intent, and supporting infrastructure related to account abstraction wallets ).
Enterprise application: ( Integrated Dapp's intent infrastructure, API, modular intent layer, domain-specific parser )
Consumer applications: ( intelligent interfaces for user interaction such as wallets, DEX, Web3 AI Agents, intelligent search engines )
