The most dangerous opponent in the investment market often stands in front of the mirror, that easily swayed self by emotions.

Recently, I read a thought-provoking observation: what truly erodes profits is not the market volatility itself, but the irrational decisions made by investors during fluctuations—being greedy and chasing prices when they soar, and being fearful and cutting losses at market lows. This emotion-driven behavior has a far greater destructive impact on long-term returns than selecting the wrong assets or timing mistakes.

Investors who can overcome human weaknesses often find that the simplest strategies are the most effective. Executing a regular investment plan with clock-like regularity is far better at accumulating wealth than chasing market trends. True investment wisdom lies not in predicting the direction of the wind, but in building a ship that can sail in any weather.
